Salim came on board in 2024 and quickly became a cornerstone of the team, blending more than a decade of tech know-how, design chops, and storytelling skills into everything he does. He started out at Verizon Wireless, where he learned the value of listening and finding solutions that make life easier, and later discovered a passion for design and digital media that led him to certifications in graphic design and social media marketing.
Today, he’s the creative force behind our social media strategy, videos, and content, using cameras, drones, and editing tools to capture stories that bring our work to life and connect with clients in fresh ways. Known for giving more than he asks in return, he pours the same energy into his projects as he does into preparing for his proudest new role yet, becoming a dad.
Nick came to MY GUYS KNOW HOW with a strong technical foundation from Lincoln Technical Institute, where he trained in electrical systems, networking, and design. A lifelong gearhead who spends weekends in the garage tuning cars and motorcycles, he brings that same precision and curiosity to smart home technology and network design. Currently learning the ropes under Trent’s guidance, Nick is honing his craftsmanship and reliability with an eye toward soon managing projects from his own service van.
Whether it is fine-tuning an engine or orchestrating the perfect smart home setup, he approaches every detail like a note in a bigger performance. That mindset, first developed as a trumpet player in his high school band, now drives his ability to deliver seamless results for clients.
Trent joined the team in early 2024 and quickly carved out his place as both a tech expert and a hands-on problem solver. With a background in cybersecurity from Illinois State University and experience running help desks across multiple departments, he built a strong foundation in IT before realizing he wanted more than life behind a desk. That shift led him to MY GUYS KNOW HOW, where his lifelong love of team sports made him a natural fit for the collaborative, get-it-done culture.
Since then, he’s gone from building his first PC in college to mastering smart home technology and blending it with growing craftsmanship in the trades. Today, he’s a driving force in delivering reliable, user-friendly solutions that make modern living both smarter and easier.
Bryan has been fascinated by how things work ever since his dad handed him a screwdriver and an old stereo at the age of four. That early curiosity, combined with countless hours building LEGO systems well beyond his age, set the stage for a career built on breaking down complexity and creating solutions that simply work. By seven, he was delivering 1,000 newspapers a week, learning the value of consistency, and by 15, he was working in HVAC, where he picked up lessons in craftsmanship and fairness that still guide him today.
From customer service and car stereo installation at Circuit City to mastering smart home systems at Tweeter Home Entertainment, Bryan built a reputation for solving problems others could not. When clients kept calling after Tweeter closed, he launched MY GUYS KNOW HOW in 2010 with a mission to make technology reliable, repeatable, and easy to use. Under his leadership, the company has become known for elite craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a culture that values teamwork and pride in a job done right the first time.
